SINGAPORE – For the second time, Singapore will host the Asian Productivity Organization’s (APO) Eco-products International Fair (EPIF) from 14 to 16 March at Sands Expo & Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands.
Grace Fu, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, will be the guest of honor at the event organized by the APO, Waste Management & Recycling Association of Singapore, and SPRING Singapore.
The exhibition, themed One Environment, One Future: Towards a Sustainable and Greener Asia, will focus on the B2B (business-to-business) model and exhibit cutting-edge, environmentally friendly eco-technologies, eco-products, and eco-services in pavilions representing Singapore, Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, and many more. In addition, the Japan Pavilion supported by the Ministry of Environment, Government of Japan, will also feature in the exhibition, alongside the booths of more than 25 leading Japanese corporations including Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Teijin Limited, Hitachi Limited, and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.
An international conference on Opportunities and Challenges in Sustainable Urban Living will also take place concurrently with a parade of renowned speakers such as Teisuke Kitayama, Chairman of the Board of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, who is also Chairperson of the Green Productivity Advisory Committee, and Johannes Christian Wichards, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization. Exhibitors and visitors can also take part in business-matching opportunities during the 3-day exhibition.
Admission to the EPIF 2013 is free to the public.
