APO E-learning on GLOBALGAP for Greater Market Access, June 18-20, 2013, DAP Pasig City

An e-Learning Course on GLOBALGAP Standards for Greater Market Access will be jointly implemented by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and the Development Academy of the Philippines on June 18-20, 2013 at the Development Academy of the Philippines, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The course aims to discuss/explain the importance of GAP certification in accessing the EU, Japan, USA and other markets in major cities, identify the requirements of benchmarking national GAP against the GLOBALGAP standard, and share critical success factors in GLOBALGAP implementation.

This course is recommended for officers of research and training institutes, quality assurance/certification bodies, members of the academe, agricultural extension workers, farm owners and managers, retailers, and exporters of agricultural products interested in furthering their knowledge on GAP and how the GLOBALGAP certification system operates.

As an e-learning course, this is an enriching learning opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with other participants from India, Nepal and Thailand via video conferencing facility. Each participating country team will make videoconferencing presentations to share their experience in GAP/GLOBALGAP which will be moderated by a local coordinator. On the last day, a written examination will be conducted to test the participants’ learning from the course. Performance in the examination will be one of the criteria for selection of the participants for subsequent follow-up training course.

Recognizing the importance of this unique online training opportunity, DAP invites the public to participate in this course. Participation to this course is PhP5,100.00 (inclusive of 12% VAT) which covers training materials, APO certificate, AM & PM snacks and lunch. Deadline for reservation is on June 10, 2013.
