An e-Learning Course on Information Security Management System (ISMS) based on the ISO 27000 Series will be jointly implemented by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and the Development Academy of the Philippines on July 22-25, 2013 at the Development Academy of the Philippines, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The course aims to enable participants to understand the standards, requirements, and application of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) based on the ISO 27000 series.
This course is recommended for those who wish to understand ISMS in accordance with the ISO 27000 series, are involved in developing information security policies, IT managers, IT officers, and managers dealing with information security.
As an e-learning course, this is an enriching learning opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with other participants from Mongolia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Vietnam via video conferencing facility. Each participating country team will make videoconferencing presentations to share their experience in information security management which will be moderated by a local coordinator. On the last day, a written examination will be conducted to test the participants’ learning from the course. Performance in the examination will be one of the criteria for selection of the participants for subsequent follow-up training course.
