An e-Learning Course on Environmental Labels and Declarations (ISO 14021, ISO 14024 and ISO 14025) will be jointly implemented by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and the Development Academy of the Philippines on October 16-18, 2013 at the Development Academy of the Philippines, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The course aims to understand the basic concept, philosophy, and principles of environmental labels and declarations, learn the basic characteristics of the ISO 14021 (Type II), ISO 14024 (Type I), and ISO 14025 (Type III), and familiarize APO members with the APO Eco-Products Directory/Database and promote Green Productivity.
This course is for professionals from the public sector and related organizations interested in or involved in developing and managing national ecolabeling schemes; or managers from private enterprises involved with eco-products and eco-services.
As an e-learning course, this is an enriching learning opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with other participants from Fiji, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam via video conferencing facility. International resource speakers will deliver presentations from their home countries. These presentations will be interactive, involving exercices and case studies while allowing participants to ask questions. Each country group will be moderated by a local coordinator. On the last day, a written examination will be conducted to test the participants’ learning from the course. Performance in the examination will be one of the criteria for selection of the participants for subsequent follow-up training course.
