The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) as the National Productivity Organization, is organizing the 11th Asian Productivity Organization (APO) Grantees’ Forum on May 21, 2014, Wednesday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the LS Virata Hall, Development Academy of the Philippines, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The theme is “Green Productivity for a Greener Asian Economy”.
This Forum serves as a platform for sharing, learning and networking among APO alumni/grantees, identifying strategies for collaboration with productivity champions and stakeholders which is also in line with creating “multiplier effects” of APO programs.
As a special feature, the Forum will be divided in two parts. Part I in the morning will focus in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy: solving the Global Energy Crisis. This will feature status of Philippine energy policies and initiatives, trends on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy initiatives in Asia, and case examples and sharing on global application of said initiatives.
While Part II, in the afternoon, will delve on Eco- Agri- Tourism: strategies for increasing productivity and incomes in rural areas. This will feature status of Philippine Tourism industry and current government initiatives, developing and marketing Agritourism for increasing household incomes in rural areas in Asia, Innovation best practices sharing of Agritourism Business Model of Costales Nature Farms, Ecotourism best practices of Provincial Government of Guimaras, and Ecotourism practices in Hawaii, USA. As a highlight of the Forum, we have invited an international expert from Indonesia, Mr. Hai Dai Nguyen, Founder and Creative Director, WOW Bali. He will present the Sustainable Dynamics- a framework for International Collaboration for Sustainable Development.
We have invited APO grantee productivity experts/practitioners as resource speakers to present issues related to the theme, and share actual experiences and insights on applying Green Productivity as an approach for socio-economic development.
For this forum we offer a prepaid early bird rate of Php 350.00/pax/session for those who would register and pay on or before May 16, 2014. Regular prepaid rate for late registrants and walk-in participants is Php 450.00/pax/session. We also offer a whole day packaged (discounted) rate of Php 800.00/pax. Participation fee will cover the cost of certificate, lunch, sumptuous AM/PM snacks, and freebies (for lucky participants).
