The climate is changing and some of the most dynamic cities on the planet are vulnerable to the impacts of these changes. Climate Change is one of the biggest challenge the human race has ever faced, and one of the causes is man’s unquenchable demand for energy from fossil fuels. Climate Change is already affecting the physical surface of the earth, the only environment that provides life support to people, and it will accelerate over the next few decades.
In line with its Green Productivity (GP) program, the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), in cooperation with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), is implementing a self-learning e-course from February 10 to May 11, 2015 (3 months). This course offers an introduction to multi-disciplinary perspectives on climate change to comprehend how climate change affects people as an individual, as a member of local community, as a citizen of country and as a member of the global community.
The structured self-learning e-course will be implemented through the APO’s dedicated e-learning website: http://www.apo-elearning.org/moodle19/. The participants can register on this website and create their own accounts. Registration starts at 9:00 am on February 10, 2015, ongoing until the end of the course.
As the National Productivity Organization, the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) is in charge of the coordination and promotion of the program at the local level. In this regard, DAP invites the public to register and participate in this FREE learning opportunity.
